  • Eating 7000-8000 calories a day

    I read that Dante says that DC followers 'should' eat 7000-8000 calories a day (German forum, just a translation). Is that true? I eat 4000-4500 max. a day.

    I think 7000 (w/o junk food) would be very very very very..... HARD!

    So did I get anything wrong? :-D

    (I'm 170cm and 192lbs)

    If Dante told you to chop off your legs from the knee down to reduce deadlift distance..would you listen?

    Diets are HIGHLY individual. Some people need 4k calories, some need 2k calories to grow. It depends on soooooo many factors.

    as long as your growing and lifts are increasing and your keeping bodyfat in check and at a level you find acceptable, then carry on.

    P.s. so much of Dante work has been mis-qouted/taken out of context and spread onto other boards like chinese whispers..Stick to the info on this site. Have 1 place as the source of info...and it just so happens that Intense Muscle- The Dogg Pound..is the OFFICIAL forum of DC Training.

    I doubt he ever even said that.

          Ja auf Andro, da stand auch so etwas wie 'Wenn Du Dir einen Whopper bestellst, bestell einen zweiten und einen Chrispy Chicken dazu, wegen dem Eiweiß'.. Entweder habe ich den Scherz nicht verstanden oder es war keiner..

              Ohne ein URL, hab' ich keine Idee ob das ein Witz war, aber es so vieles bei einer Mahlzeit heisst ziemlich mehr als ~50g Eiweiss (was ungefaehr normalerweise was man zu sich pro Mahlzeit nehmen "soll").

              (Warum nicht einfach fragen ob das ein Scherz war, sondern shaetzen?...)

                        "Schlechte" Nahrungsmittel immer vorm Carb Cutoff. Wenn der Whopper mal zum Mittag kommt, ist das echt nicht weiter tragisch. Bestelle aber lieber noch einen dazu und einen Nuggetburger zusätzlich. Kalorien-Mast!
                        Das meine ich. Kann man so ein junk food beruhigt essen oder was soll das heißen...?

                            Your caloric intake is going to depend on you as an individual, your BMR, training routine, and goals. I can't disagree with Dante but I would think 7000 calories would give some of us unwanted weight.

                              This was from an interview about what Dante had eaten that day, and he had worked a full day of laborous work which is why his caloric intake was so high. If you work a desk job or are generally sedentary outside the gym then I doubt you need 7000-8000 calories unless you're the size of Big Ramy!
