Remember, back training hits your biceps and brachialis very hard so train biceps on a day all by themselves if they are a weak point.p
i am confused, won't the additional load to the biceps from back work and then bicep work create a pretty strong stimulus for growth? just doing pure bicep work at the start without any additional work (via back) would be less overall work, so less stimulus?

It COULD but by the time you get to biceps after training back, there isn't much strength and muscle contraction is reduced. Training biceps on a separate day would allow for a much higher intensity and contractile force because you would be fresh when starting your biceps training.

            Biceps on own

            Skip,
Do you have a "preferred" split in which you work your bi's seperately from your back? would this include pairing bi's with tri's on that day?
            Thank you

            Jim

Look up "Skips Training Protocol" should be the split your looking for and the one I use.
