Great article. I agree with everything you said. I have to be honest that during my last prep I struggled. I ended up with a great result, but towards the end I hit a wall in fat loss. It was frustrating for both me and my coach. Although I never questioned my coach I did post my problem asking if anyone had similar problems. I can see that this could look like I was questioning his methods, and I would be more careful with my words in the future. Homon, pointed this out and I took it to heart. The point is if you are going to trust someone with your prep, you should have done your homework. You should trust the person. The key to your success with a good coach is not only following their plan, but to believe in it as well. In the end there is a difference between having questions and questioning. Know the difference and work with your coach not against. The great thing about this site is that you don't have to do a lot of shopping around. Just look at Skip or Homon's clients and that should quickly end your search.

That's for sure. Like the college dropout that would like to look like he knows more about aircraft engineering than an actual aircraft engineer in a conversation. I can't stand such people.

Shit... my own son was a guy who refused to eat to get big for fear of "getting fat."

He went off to college, fell in with a dude who does strongman competitions and two weeks later figured out that lifting without eating merely equals getting tired.
I've won on so many levels already I don't even care how I do at the show. I just wanna look damn good!!

Treat them like they are old and eat soup... and they will be.

Train 'em hard and feed them like a stud... and they will be.

                          So will you.

Call me a derp-a-derp noob, but I never understood why one would pay $ to work with someone, only to argue with the person and their methods the entire time anyway. I think I said just that when Skip asked such a thing a couple of months back. Oh, people.
