Just wondering if you had ever tried this with anyone; I know your last experiment was more frequent loads, but I was wondering if you had tried EOW with clients that had either more stubborn metabolisms or were fairly high in bf%.

I prefer every other day but whatever... For the record, I ain't that lean so try it at your own risk..ha ha ha
Seriously, I have tried every other week and it works really really well except for the will power part. I hated it mentally and did it for about a month before I broke down.If it's not hard it's not worth doing...

If EOW means "End of Workout" than I am all in! If it means "Every other week", than I agree that it would not only be VERY hard mentally (after about 5 days of low carb, I am foaming at the mouth for some Fruity Pebbles), but also I think that the entire reasoning for the Skipload is to stoke the metabolism and bring back up fallen Leptin levels and keep the body moving towards getting leaner. I am not an expert Skiploader, I used it for 2 competitions and it worked very well, but I think it would be less effective and harder to see and keep track of the changes in baseline weight and leanness. I think you would be spending more time in a "stalled metabolic state". My two cents, which really means nothing... LOL."It is impossible to defeat an ignorant man in argument." -William G. McAdoo

Skiploading EOW?
Yes every other week.
I've used the normal weekly protocol with great success, don't get me wrong. However, I wonder how truly depleted I really become (personally). I waited 2 weeks to Skipload, had my refeed yesterday and it was absolutely insane. Add to that it was a very short Skipload, but I had never encountered this type of depletion using weekly loads.
I have no trouble at all sticking to my macro protocol. It's not boring, stale nor difficult for me...but I'm a "eat the same thing daily" type of personality anyway, both clean and dirty.
My carbs aren't insanely low; ~75g on non training days, ~125g training days. Skip might be able to reason WHY I'm not very depleted after 7 days, though.
I just assume it's because I'm fat.Last edited by RageBlanket; 05-26-2013, 02:25 PM.You're perfect, yes it's true. But without me...you're only you.

I've played around with depleting 7 days then carbing 3 days also which worked well but it didn't time with the weekend so it became a pain in the ass.
I always went back to the weekly deplete / carb cycle since it was more convenient. I also never felt fully depleted until the 5th day or so and that's when carbs were 50-60g at most every day.If it's not hard it's not worth doing...

I actually have my first client in a LOOOOONG time that just was not progressing until we cut the load to every 2 or 3 weeks. Now, he is progressing well. I can't remember when the last time that had to happen was.
