  • A "load" of thanks!

    Just wanted to say thanks to Skip for putting together the video. It helped me change everything I had been doing over the past 5 years. I am 41 and recently participated in my first of hopfully many bodybuilding comps. In January of this year I was 218lbs and 23% bf. @ 5'6" thats's not even close to being ready for anything! Thanks to everyone on this forum, I stepped on stage @ 155 and 8% bf. I know I was not a threat to anyone, but I did accomplish a goal and inspired my wife and 4 kids to set goals and go after them. Anyway... Thanks to you all for sharing and giving advice to us newbys.

              I just wrote something in my journal about my load being smaller this weekend. Then I thought if someone randomly read this they would think WTF is this guy measuring???

                Skip, I've been re-visiting your videos as well during my cardio session. Especially part which covers the last week of prep. May give this a try. Thanks again for posting some good info!

                    I feel the same way. I've been with Skip for a long time and he's the only person who's pushed me to move past my fears and start trusting the process. I'm a very lean 176.... I know I know but on his plan I eat close to 3600 calories per day in the offseason. Body fat has gone DOWN. In the past I never went over 2800 so you can see the difference in what trust and actual applicable knowledge can do. Modeling doesn't allow sloppy weight gain, but I can sure a heck say my metabolism is the highest it's ever been since working with Skip at nearly 30 years old. Right now my loads are 9 to 10 hours in then Offseason! Skip got me lean then put quality weight back on. Hire him for 6 months and you'll never go back. IMO he's underpaid in what I've saved in useless advice and listened to him. Follow it to a T and you will take yourself to a whole new level. Thanks Ken!!

                        Sorry for the mis-leading title. The biggest thing for me was the timing of meals. Had no idea what a difference it would make. I also had to get over the fact I could not throw around the big boy wieghts but focused on the quality of lift and getting the most out of each workout. Still have a long way to go and a lot more to learn.
