  • Shivan's pics over the year....

    These are few pics that i have taken while i have spent my time in Iraq. my goal was to hit 230, and i finally hit it (well actually, my goal is 315, but 230 will be good for now). i will be heading home in about a month, and things have been extremely screwy, for example, the dining facility where i get all of my food was shut down because supply lines have been broken from constant attacks.....so enough rambling....here are some pictures:

    This is July's pic, i was 183 in this picture.... 2 months into deployment....

    wow....these are bad....i think i am about 185 here, holding lots of fat and not really very appealing to the eye...LOL.

    still learning and hitting the weights....

      now going into november, i have learned a lot more about proper nutrition, and i went into this portion of my journey at 190 lbs....

        in december i think iwas at 200, still not putting on massive weight, as i hadn't found something that worked for me...quickly (foreshadowing?)

            this is january, a little larger....i'm not trying to post tons of pics here.... i also realized that i have really no pics of the legs developing through this whole thing....damn..... oh yeah, 205 here

              this was a bad month, probably teh only thing that i actually did was gain fat and learn about DC style of training. this month was hard for the military and i was on constant guard, so lifiting and eating correctly wasn't in the cards....i was 210-ish i believe...

                well fast foward to now (i couldn't find any more pics....that is what happens when an external hardrive gets corrupted )

                well here i am, i am 230 and i am pretty happy about it. i am entering the last leg of my deployment (the last month), and it seems as though that Bush's plan to get all soldiers out of iraq and into kuwait by july is true. we are leaving for kuwait around the 25th of june, so hell yeah. until then though, things are goign to be rough, mre's for 2 + weeks (only 3 a day.....errghh), and tons of work to be done getting ready to pass customs so we can make our way back to the states (we have got to clean everything, not an ounce of dust from iraq touches american soil).
                so there you have it, i put on roughly 50 lbs during this time here in Iraq, so it wasn't all a waste of ayear of my life. i plan on going back and making another huge jump. i am going to do it with DC as well, i told him i wanted to be 250 by the end of teh year, and itold him this when i was SUPPOSED to go home in march, but i got extended and i thought my dreams were gone, but now i know i can do it....hell yeah and fuckin rock on!

                  Shiv, Looking damn good man, way to go, wait til you get back and DC gets a hold of your ass, you are in for some serious gains, oh yea, bring back some spiders ok, I ask that cause I know a camel wouldn't fit in your duffel...

                        Thanks In-Human, yeah, i really want to get back, kick some ass with DC, and then once i am satisfied with how my flaws have developed, i will diet down and compete. i am only 21 (22 in DEC), so i think that i have some time to put on size and then start competing!

                          LOL, oh lord.....Fuckin A, jesus man, you are your own character. one day i am goign to write a book, and it will have a character, code named "Ted", and he is goign to own a warehouse, kick ass, eat raw animals, and mutter, "fuckin a" inbetween bites of deer flesh....oh i can see the glory in it now!!!

                            you did a great job of gaining size and remaining relatively lean. Gaining 50 lbs while overseas, standing guard in a hostile environment shows a great deal of dedication and commitment. Congratulations Shivan.

                              I can imagine it's not easy to train over there and it takes an extra edge of dedication. You look fantastic, Shivan!
