    does anyone have any weightlifting exercises that can greatly increase my jumping quickly, but permanently.

    squats, they made my vertical sky rocket very quikly. Do them heavy

            lots of Biceps curls.................




            LOL, just jokin, squats, practive skip rope will help, and don't forget to work the calve muscle. They play a big part too in your jumping ability.

            Slow and heavy standing clave raises will help

              my coach told me not to do the jumping squats, becuase he heard that you can get injured easily doing them. Any truth behind that?

                  how much did they increase your verticle? becuase i currently have a 25 inch verticle, but i want to increase it.

                    Though I don't think you're supposed to use the same poundages you use for normal squats. lol.
                    I vote for lighter weights that feel comfortable. It still adds to the jumping by adding to your bodyweight.. could probably work with holding 2 dumbbells too.
