  • Canadians who've ordered from TP.....

I figured I'd post this here since I guess most of your guys order from trueprotein, hehe.

Right now for 20pds of whey concentrate i'm paying ~120USD (inc. tax and shipping).

Been wanting to try some stuff from true protein, but I'm worried about the customs charges. E.g., using 20pds of whey concentrate, it'd be ~80USD(inc. tax, not shipping). I figured maybe 20 for shipping. That's still a savings of 20USD for me, but but but (there's always a but, eh ), I'm worried about canada customs....everytime i order something from the US they rape me at the door.

When I ordered my powerhooks, they were about 30USD, then 10USD for shipping, and at the door fed-ex wanted another 15 for customs and misc. charges!

So yea, there's the question for the canadians up on here - does/how much does customs get you for at the door when you order?

I know Creator_11 and SilverBack do order from TP and they live in Canada, so I wish they would chime in here...

i didnt even think of that when i ordered from them last week for the 1st time. i ordered about 39lbs of supplements. hopefully i dont pay to much because when i did the totals from buying them at stores i was saving about 100 bucks or so with shipping and currency exchange. all be it the stuff at the stores is almost the cheapest you can find.

Easy solution would be to ship it via USPS vs. Fedex or UPS. USPS is the only one that won't rape you on customs. Even if you ship if UPS mark the package down to a value of $10. There done like butter.

for canada, we usually always ship USPS. ups, fedex and dhl are 3-4 times more expensive. and as well, there are more customs problems with the ups, fedex and dhl. shoot me an email to [email protected]. and i can quote you a USPS quote, since our site does not.

              thanks

Alright In-Human I'll chime in here.

Well my 10lbs of free protein still ended up costing me $12.00 canadian, lol because of customs. I guess it was for the duty charges, seems kinda stupid to me, but oh well. I will say the shipping method TPC sent it to me was great, after seeing the shipping time it took 10days to get from Trueprotein.com place to Toronto.

But to be honest bro, I worked things out and even ordering from TP.com you still save a few bucks, then from buying your protein locally and to beat it, TP.com protein is the best mixing and best tasting protein I have found for my budget compared to anything I can get local.

And to top it off, the post office to pick up my protein is 2min away, it easier for me to pick it up from the depot, then to drive to the suppliment store and purchases some over priced stuff.

You also forgot bro that even if you get you protein for the same price here in canada compared to TP.com protein after shipping and customs, you still had to drive out to the store, waste gas ( and at these insane gas prices too) and if your time is valuable, waste that as well in traffic.

Hey TPC if you guys ever need a canadian sales rep,

for any canadians reading this, I do have to say that this is one of the better deals (in terms of $$$). I worked it out and as long as you buy in bulk (50+ pds) you're farther ahead than any other places that i've seen.
