  • Quick lean bulk question...

    Eating 8 meals a day with these macros:

    75/60/8 x6

    75/5/30 x2

    Pro/carb and pro/fat meals just depending on the time of day etc...I have a hard time finishing a lot of my meals (don't we all) but I do manage to get them down...what I'm wondering is if it would be acceptable/a good idea to drink a shake after each meal (using team skips true protein blend) as shakes are easy to consume and right now all of my meals except the PWO meal is food (don't drink shakes).

    Even though I'm bulking I still do 40 minutes of cardio 5 times a week keeping my heart rate between 130-145 bpm...what do you guys think?

    Why an "all or nothing" approach to the shakes? People seem to do that with all supplement use anymore...

    Instead of replacing all of them why not just 2-3 at times when they would be more convenient or easy to consume than whole food?

      I think you misunderstood my question. I'm taking about ADDING a shake after each meal (or 3-4///whatever I can handle).

      Real food is always #1

        Just do every other meal as a shake:

        meal one: food source protein with carb or fat.
        meal two: protein shake with carb or fat. for carbs you can grind up some oats with the shake, or if you add fat, throw in some oil or p-butter.
        and so on..etc...

              Good point here... If you are having trouble eating 8 meals I would do just this. Whole food meal 1, Shake meal 2, Whole food, shake, etc... It will just break up the "have to" eat syndrome.

                    I'm not gaining anymore and can't really eat more since it already takes me an hour to finish half of my meals....even with fasted cardio and adding curry powder to my food to boost my metabolism.

                    I have noticed that I'm leaning out while maintaining my weight though....but that's kind of to be expected given the circumstances.
