  • BB & SS bar squats in the same blast?

My gym has a lot of specialty bars. Would it be alright to do regular BB squats and safety-squat bar squats in the same blast? Are the exercises different enough?

My third quad exercise would be leg press.

You're not going to find the safety bar to be a good one for DC quad exercise. The point of a SSB is to shift the center of gravity forward, making your back have to work harder to keep you upright.

I've also seen a SSB used backwards for doing front squats. Would that be a good DC quad exercise?

I had been doing smith front squats, but my new gym doesn't have a smith machine. I've had trouble before with progressing on regular BB front squats.
