  • question about squats and deads

    I was wondering while using the DC method .Should you do a straight set for your work set for squats and deads and t-bar rows ? of like 12-20reps ?

    t-bar rows are pretty much always in the 8-12 straight set rep range. for squats, if your quads are a strong point you can either do a straight set of 10 or 8-12 then a 4-8. if they are a weak point you do a 4-8 repper and then a widowmaker of 20reps.

    deads are 8-12/4-8
    TRAIN
    EAT
    SLEEP

      so on squats and deads you do say a working set of 10-12 then wait 15seconds and try for 6-8 ? am I way off here ?

        Bro he just wrote it out for you. On squats you do 1 set of 8 heavy reps. Then after you do 1 set of 20 reps. No rest pausing with squats.

        Secondly, deads are 8-12/4-8, just like JnJ23 mentioned. No rest pausing with Deads.

          Big thing you have to watch out for with the deads is going to close to failure and letting your form get sloppy. The second you lose tight form it is time to stop or you are asking for trouble.

                        It doesn't matter really, just long enough to recover. Just don't take a vacation.
