What is the best way to bring up lagging traps?

Should I pick back exercises that work the traps hard too, and what would you pick?

or should I add a trap exercise at the end of one of my workouts?

be sure that you are lifting your shoulders back and up at the end of the movement when doing deadlift or rack deadlifts.

Mine were lagging a bit as well, but like Dante said Heavy Deads will bring them around. I usually go with Rack Deads b/c I can go heavier and I feel safer. Give it a try.

I do heavy ass rack deads on Tuesday, then 455-495 lb shrugs on Thursday after arms. On my last set or two, I go for 10 second static holds on the last 2-3 reps. Then I do a stretch & cramp after each set.
          Mine are growing noticeably.

That reminds me, I gotta buy some new straps, mine are cutting into my wrists. Since I fail to win them, I guess I gotta buy them.

              lol

              I agree, rack deads.

Obviously, shrugs do a good job. But main thing for me on these was range of motion and form. I see a lot of guys doing heavy shrugs but not moving their traps up and down much. When I do shrugs there is a lot of movement going on...touch those traps to your ears!

As you can see in my avatar, I don't have much of a neck! lol

i do rack deads:deads off the floor in 2:1 ratio. 2 weeks racks, then a week of regular deads, then back to racks. full deads hit you much better but doing them every time can mentally/physically wear you out.
