  • Question on the angle of incline

Guys would you consider it a change of exercise if you change the angle of your incline press? For instance, if you do a workout on a 15 degree incline one workout and a 45 degree incline another workout, could that be your third exercise.

I think it would b/c it's like changing flat bench to 15 degree incline and it feels totally different.

I'm asking b/c the gym I lift at doesn't have a large varity of machines and I'm trying to plan my change in workouts

Yes, myself I would consider that to be to different exercises, because of the different angles and that they feel different too. If you can use them both in your DC routine I`m not sure. Maybe they are to similar for that purpose?

Hey interesting question rowtogrow, one that I would have been perplexed to answer. I have always tried to use as low a incline position as possible as I have heard over and over again that 30o or there about works chest, where 40o or higher gets more front delt. There is definitely a different feel for every change in angle, as I also feel on incline curl when I mess around with changing angles there too.
