  • Finishing on negative for quads

Just wondering if you guys finish on the negative for bar squats, leg press, or semi stiff leg deadlift-these are the only exercises that I do not finish on the negative with. If you do could you explain how without using a training partner.

I only go to positive failure on those, so I don't finish on the negative.

Yup, sort of a safety issue there, LOL.

Unfortunately, I have indeed involuntarily finished on the negative on squats. But that's why I'm in the power rack with the safety pins set. Keeps the spine from being driven into the floor. If a spotter/partner is there, then, hopefully you can avoid this outcome. s! ss!
