After seeing how much places charged for lighter than 2.5 pound plates I looked at companies that sell big flat washers. I was able to order a pack of 8 big washers weighing 1.25 pounds a pair for 18 bucks delivered, they fit my Olympic bars perfectly. These are great for keeping my progress going where another 5 pounds from a pair of 2.5s would kill me. Now I have three incremental progress steps between the 2.5 pound plates if i need them.
