  • Tricep Stretch and elbow pain...did I go too heavy?

After tris tonight I went to stretch(i'm new to the program) and selected a 40lb DB...when I did with the stretch with my left arm I had no problems but as I moved to the right after about 5 seconds there was a lot of elbow pain...

I don't normally experience elbow pain with any exercise so this was kind of odd...should I start lower to get the tendons\ligaments used to the stretch?

    Thanks a lot

Wear either wraps or pads and a belt when you do this program!
I would skip extreme stretching on triceps for at least a session or two. Make sure that you warm up thoroughly when you work out. Make sure to cover your body with loose fitting warm clothes. And yes, lower the weight amount you use on triceps stretch!!

if it's within the 24 hour period of the injury, use ice/heat. If not just heat.
    good luck
