  • this royally sucks

    Well i had a thread a while back about how i was coming back from a one year hiatus from training. I was debating wether to go back to DC or not right off the bat.

    Well im really discouraged with my progress so far. Im really weak. i mean retrarded weak.

    Also i hate to admit this but ive got a fat hpobia. I mean i dont wanna get fat. Yeah , yeah i know sounds like im a pussy and all .

    need help guys

    I'd go with straight sets to start off. There are ways to keep the bodyfat off for the most part if you just follow the nutrition guidelines and individualize it from there. Don't worry about being weak, I'm pretty weak right now as well from cutting. It's all the more reason to be back in the gym.

            FH, dont pick on him, he is trying very hard. he has worked himself up all the way to the point that he can push the keys in the keyboard for 32rp.. i think you should be more supportive.

            and patient... you need to learn to be more patient. but really, dont focus on where you were and look at where you are now and where you want to be. actually, dont even think about it, just lift more weight every single workout and you'll get there. and usmuscle's idea of straight sets is probably a good one if you want to be able to move the next day..lol.

                        if you can add an average 5 lbs to a lift every time you do the exercise (usually twice a month if dc style), you'll have a 120lb increase by the end of the year assuming you didnt have to drop it before then. only 5 lbs each time and you're making progress. i mean, look at those l ittle 2.5 lb plates.. they look like cookies or something (thats actually what i call them). adding one of those to each side is practically nothing on a compound movement. ok and if you gain only avg a 1 lb gain each week you have about 4 lbs a month. 4X12= 48 lbs in 1 year assuming you were consistent.
