  • Chest stretch on incline

since I could not get on a flat bench the very second I wanted it I did my strech on a low incline bench instead. It actually felt very good. I'm curious if anyone else has done this and their opinions.
Dante? IH? Any reason NOT to do it?

Haven't done this with chest before.. may try it next chest day though! I've done unorthodox stretches with other parts before.. IMO, what gives that specific bodypart a good stretch should do the trick. Just keep it extreme!!

KR, Yes I did try it, and at the time I was up to 90s and when I did the Inclines and had the DBs in my armpits the holding of them really put a lot of stress on my rotator, my bad right rotator so I only lasted like 30 seconds, but I did get a very good stretch though for that short of time...

Slightly related question, in the chest stretch when you go down is it supposed to be wide like a DB fly movement or a bit narrow like a DB press movement?

but keep the dumbells closer to your chest. You don't want to try this with outstretched arms.

KR, we had to do the same thing yesterday. Flat bench was taken so we used a slight incline bench instead. Can't decide if I like one better than the other but slight incline did just as good as flat.

Keep the DBs near your armpits, then push your elbows down, these stretch the shit out of my pecs more than doing a wide or regular Flye...

I may try this as well but I'll be using the chrome dumbells from the cardio room.
