Hi all. After recently coming upon DC's training principles I have come to love training like this as it isn't that much different to my prior 27 years of Heavy Duty. The one query I have concerns the 2-week down time... I assume that involves sub-failure workouts holding back 1-2 reps? That would make sense after killing myself for 4 weeks straight on rest-pause. :iagree:

Welcome to IM and the Pound, well those two weeks are a cruise period where its time to rest your body, mind and stomach with comfortable lifting and eating to get you ready to continue to blast again.

All exercises straight sets of 15 reps for the worksets and play around with new exercises you may want to add into the new blast.

    Enjoy the program...

I usually cut back to about 80% of the weights I was handling while blasting. I know my joints take a beating and need this rest. Some guys can push it a little more but I have found that I lose no strength by cutting back this much. Usually once back to blasting I am back where I was before within a week.

Thanks for the warm welcome and advice. Having read and re-read Doggcrapp's info over and over till it sunk in, I know feel I have all the pieces put together to make some extra gains for the remainder of this year. Having been stuck at 220# for quite a while now--and with 250# being my ultimate goal [being on the small-boned side and coming from a literal skeleton background] I believe DC's system can take me all the way! Thanks again guys.
