  • doggcrap excersize order...

Ok I just finised my second day doing the dodoggcrapp routine...

I love it so far... I have not been sore like this for a while.... I feel like someone kicked the shit out of me.... I was suprised after only doing only working set per bodypart......

I was wondering if anyone new the answer to this...
why in the workout would deads be done last or squats be done last
    in the excersize order...

the reason I am wondering is because I did SLDL for my hams then Squats for quads.... I feel like my lower back was pretty fatigued after doing the SLDLs and I feel like it prevented me from doing squats as good as I could have....

I think I will swith the order up and not match those two excersizes up anymore.... switch SLDLs for glute ham raises.....

It would be very tough to do these exercises you talk about very heavy and have the wind knocked out of you and then think you are going to complete the rest of the workout, so are that way for that reason to finish off what ever strength you have left then leave and eat and grow.

You may need to do Quads first if you have SLDL set up that particular leg day, I try to set up my workouts so that certain exercises do not fall on the same days...

Agreed. I used to attempt to do squats and deads or SLDLs in the same workout, and typically ended up twinging my back. I will do leg curls on squat days, and leg press/leg sled on deadlift days, just to keep the lower back a bit happier

I would do SLDL with leg press and maybe some type of leg curls with squats.

You must always do the 20 repper on the Smythe, this is for safety more than anything, your form will suffer bad after one set of heavy Squats then trying 20 free Squating...

If you are squatting low weights, is it ok to just do the 20 repper ? I think DC wrote something like that... or?

I give DC credit that it really is adjusted quite well for keeping my motivation high as well.

If you are a hard gainer in the thigh department, after you do your one heavy set free Squating then you move over to the Smythe for a lighter set of 20 reps...
