  • New here, question about cardio

sup im new on this forum, but i was reading the material some time before i joined.
i weigh 220-225 right now but im a little chubby, and of course would like (will) cut down to probably 210-215

now DC recommends cardio in the morning, the thing is i dot really have this kinda time, unless i reaallly get up soon ( too soon)

so could I logically do the cardio before bed? like 6 days a week 30-40 minutes light jog before sleeping?

thanks in advance for the answers

Welcome to the board, if you need to cut fat using cut offs and cardio is the way, cardio in the morning on a protein shake or empty stomach is good for contest prep, but you can do it when ever you find the time, morining is good cause you are carb depleted from the cut off and the hours of sleep, most trainees that keep there BF in check do it on off training days about the same time they would normally train. Before bed would be fine if you feel it will let you sleep...

shit thats intense, also another thing,is it true that DC training is very ineffective during cutting phases? because on bbing.com some people said they had great gains on bulking, but almost none on cutting

Please one of the board rules here is no speaking of BB.com, ever, and really that is garbage, many trainees that compete take this program and RPing right up til a few weeks before show time then go to straight set workouts...

Hi guys. While I am new to this board, I have been following DC and his training philosophy for some time. I would be very interested to hear from INHUMAN what his cardio routine is. 28lbs in 9 weeks is mighty impressive. Have you had much muscle loss?

So if I do cardio at my normal workout time of 6:00 pm, it will still be beneficial in keeping the fat off? I'm able to perform cardio 2 a week in the am.

Basically my plan is to just do cardio about 5-6 times a week and no carbs after 6 pm
should i do any tweaking to my diet, which is high protein(not quite what DC recommends, but im getting there) and moderate carbs?¸
in lost between 5-10 pounds using high protein low carb diet, but if i can lose fat on a higher carb diet id prefer that

I have been doing cardio 6 days a week at 45 minutes per session and I am doing the cardio after my training, except for leg day. Now I am on a modified 4 day split that DC has laid out when you are losing fat and the kcals are getting somewhat on the low side especially with carbs.

I would say that my strength is down maybe 5% and mostly with my upper body.

With this new split I am doing 3 or 4 exercises at a time and still going RP and some straight sets, and I still have the energy to complete the cardio.

I stay on the treadmill and I go at 3.0 and each minute I add 1% on incline til I reach 15% then carry that out for the rest of the time at 3.3 mph, my HR stays at 125-130 for the whole 45 minutes and seems to be working fine as of now...
