I was looking into purchasing a video for motivation and interest

I was looking between Cost of Redemption (Big Ron)
or Made In Germany (Markus Ruhl)

if anyone has seen them, what would be a better?

There both great, Made In Germany has more watchability , because Markus is hilarious, he's so funny and that makes some of the best parts in the movie. Not to mention the training footage is great and he's huge.

Ronnie's video is good, good watch, but get's repetitive, but is worth it alone for the training. It's remarkable. And the posedown he does in the mirror at the end is mindblowing.

Well, I like them both.. but as babygetoboy said, they are not the same style.
If you're buying mostly for inspiration, I'd say go with the one you're the biggest fan of. Even though Marcus video is great, I'm more a fan of Ronnie and therefore almost always end up watching his video, for "pre workout inspiration" anyway.

Pros of Marcus video: It's hilarious. The shopping mall scene is to die for. Just as Ronnie he is also a heavy lifter, so alot of inspiration can be found there.
The video as a whole is more fun to watch, while inspiration wise they are quite equal.

Pros of Ronnies video: You get more of an insight of how he actually lives right now.. it gets repetitive though, because he does almost exactly the same thing every single day. So I always wind forward to the training, which is nice offcourse.
But as a video to just watch, not for inspiration, "Made in Germany" wins over Ronnie's bigtime.

I say Made in Germany, hell even Markus wife Simone will get you inspired when she does skull crusher with weights close to what Markus does, lol.

i'll tell you what, i really dig the Jay Cutler: new and improved, simply because he is so grounded, a little quiet, and just cracks subtle jokes that make you laugh (that and he is a freakin beast). however, it is hard to watch him do the gazillion set workout.

Cost of Redemption blew my mind in many different areas. i was honesly blown away by the 800 lb squat and just the amount of eating.

Made in Germany has much more watchability (liek BGB stated), this would be my choice definitely if i were to choose one.

I really like the Art Atwood video though too....but then again, i just like Art to begin with (he keeps pluggin away despite his genetics).

but all in all, i would choose Made in Germany.

nothing is better than him being a goodball in the grocery store (Totally thought he was stoned)

The best is when he goes "Now I'm going to talk in English so people think I'm important"

The training segments in Ronnie's video are worth every penny of the DVD price. The leg training segment especially. He does multiple sets on the leg extension first to "pre-exhaust" his quads. I mean, he does the whole damn stack with a quarter added on for a set of 30 freaking reps. He then proceeds to do mulitple sets to a "suited" squat max of 800 pounds. 800 solid ass pounds, lol. Then he goes to the leg sled and does multiple sets up to a max of like 2500+ for 6-8 reps I believe. I mean, it's just freaking ridiculous how much weight this leg sled holds and how he can do this after squatting that much and pre-exhausting his quads with heavy and high rep leg extensions. Not only that, but he then goes on to do standing leg curls (whole stack for a ton of reps) and stiff-legged deadlifts, lol. He then goes to Black Eye Pea and eats at the bar with chalk all over his shoulders and back. The dude is the definition of a hardcore freak. Nobody touches him IMO.

The non-training segements in his video remind me of Groundhog Day. I know BB's eat the same meals most days, but he says the same thing everyday before he eats the same meal. It gets really funny and also annoying by the end of the movie. I love his Ronnie-isms that he always says too. The guy is funny, even though he isn't really trying to be.

Markus has better non-training segments by far. His training segments are pretty sweet too. He is a pure rep-machine. I mean, the dude just keeps repping shit like he is never going to stop. Plus, the size of his chest/shoulder complex is plain ridiculous!

Both are great, so save up and buy both.

Well if I were to purchase either one or both of these videos, does anyone know of the cheapest UK supplier. The link I gave at the top sells it for 21 pound, which seems to be one of the lowest. Any thoughts??

I like jays video that one is pretty decent, ronnies is a little slow, have not seen the markus ruhl vid but my all time fav is Blood and Guts you have to remember I am biased towards Dorian though.

ive got both, i love both but ive matched ronnie's way more often simply because he does simple exercices without many machines. but in ruhl's video he uses more machines and some that i simply dont have at my gym so i cant really try those exercices or be amazed by the weight because ive never done them before or theres nothing to compare it to.
