  • a quiz for newbies

hey guys-- what if we come up a list of questions for the new guys to answer to evaluate if they are ready for DC-- not that i am trying to discourage any one, but it seams we answer the same questions over and over again----we can think of some good questions and just reffer them to it instead of conualy waisting threads

hehe. what you have to do is pick questions which you know teenage lifters will answer in a certain way.

    For instance.

Do you eat as much as humanly possible?

And they answer, Oh yea man i'm an animal, im constantly eating, i never stop, im hardcore!

    lol

Is the flat bench press the main component of your workout? and Will it have to stay in your workout?

Alot of teens would fail at that question

Its not so much the age factor guys its the maturity factor and years in the gym, I have seen 18 years olds who have two years of training with maturity and I have seen a 30 year old with 8 years experience and not know anything, so this is a very unique thing for each person.

Flat Bench can cause problems if done incorrectly buts its no law that you can't use it, remember there is no exercises that are hated on this program, but there are so many that you can excel in making weight and or rep gains everytime you rotate back to that exercise for some long periods of time.

Now don't get me wrong, I try to discourage inexperienced lifters about starting with this program but look at some of the progress most have made that had the maturity to listen and do the program 110%.

I think answering the questionnaire is more than enough to start this program and it really shows where a persons head is and what they want and expect from this program...

I know no exercises are hated on this program I just figured Since there is a high level for injury on bench press, that ? should be on there.

i know the questionaire is a good policy, but isnt it only for people DC is considering and not the guy who finds this site and asks am i ready? Or do they see it some where?

yessir BerkshireBody, the questionnaire is for people that DC train. but there is no, lets say....STICKY questionnaire for newbies, like "all newbies read", and have it be a quiz that asks simple things like,
"how do you perform the training principle known as Rest Pause, or Static hold, or Static Pump."
"have you tried to grow on other programs and were led to this"
"do you know your body and know when you are overtraining"
"do you understand that in this forum there is question asking and answering, and NO FLAMING, this is a strong community of big sumamabitch's, so recognize"

or you knwo something like that. i think that it may be overkill and uneeded, but hey, it is something else to put up there for new people. ooooooh, better yet, after the question, then post a link to the thread that answers that question! it would be like a quiz/FAQ....hmmm.....

anyways, is this what you are talking about BerkShireBody?
