I just wanted to say thanks to all the guys here like DC, IH FH, etc. It is nice to find a forum that kind of "smacks you in the face" and reminds you that the basic principle is "Lift heavier, and you will get bigger" I know all too often, I have gotten lost in the science of everything, and it is great to have a place like this to drag you back to reality.
FYI, the raping of the logbook has begun. Last two workouts, I exceeded all previous reps by at least 5 on each excersize. Being that I am starting out after a long layoff, I know it is nothing to brag about, but I must say, it is so much easier now, instead of worrying about 99 other "factors" I go in with ONE thought....move more iron. Thanks to all for the "reality check!"
