  • Dc training in the hockey off season

Hey I wanted to hear what everyone thought. Right now I'm in season for hockey an d I'm on the ice 5 times a week. I still train but its not any kind of bodybuilding training, it's more for stamina and just to keep what i have plus a lot more cardio. When the season is over il b on the ice maybe 1-2 a week for a while and it won't be very intense or physical so recovery wont be much. You could figure it's just like cardio. My question was what does everyone think about dc training. Maybe 1 full blast or so to add some weight back on obviously while eating like a bodybuilder during that time. I know Dante has mentioned this before but I figured I would ask anyway. Thanks

Lol I understand but being on the ice once a week not playing intensely and not working much I can't see how I would overtrain.

Even if I didn't step on the ice for 1 full blast if I had to it would work correct?

No, because you're not ready for DC training.

Maybe I should have mentioned, I'm no newbie. I trained for about 4 years Before making this team and added about 80 pounds to my frame and was also trained by skip for a while so with all due respect I am ready

at first when I joined this msg board I thought your posts came off as being a big dick. Now as I see how many people ask these questions, I find your responses really funny for some reason.

He is a dick, just a lovable dick. Kinda like that puppy in the litter that eats all his brothers' and sisters' food and bites them when they're trying to nap.

Go ask Jay Cook in his new sub-forum this same question.

And after reading his creds I think you'll agree what he says is gold.
