  • I'm back....

Well, I was never here to begin with haha, but this is my first post here. A little background.

I'm 19, 6'3", and right now I'm at about 245. About 5 months ago I hurt my lower back with bad form on squats. I was out of the game for about 2, 2.5 months, and in that time I discovered DC training. Now I've been training with DC's methods for about 2.5 months to get used to it and have a better understanding of how it works.

Now, its fall semester time, and I moved back to school and have access to the new rec center and whatnot. Its time for me to get serious. I'm going to crush that log book and do the cardio like I should. My goal is to be a freak, and to make women and children cry.

My reason for this post? None really, I'm just really antsy because the gym is closed for maintenance until Saturday, so I am restricted to pushups, and lifting bags full of books for the rest of this week.

Am I a little crazy? Just maybe. But, I looked in the mirror, and I'm beginning to see my shape take form, and I like it, and after hitting these weightlifting boards again has given me an all new burst of excitement and determination.

I will get some pictures and whatnot before I start off again. I don't really want to, as my stomach has ballooned up a little bit and I don't have much to show off. This is going to be fun. Thanks for giving us DC boys a place to congregate!

Hey man, glad to have you aboard! I am also 19y\o, 6'3 but leaning towards about 260-265lbs. DC training as you probably know is fucking awesome, and you won't want to go back to anything else once you see how great it works. I'm moving back into college tomorrow and I can't wait. I love visiting the all you can eat dining halls atleast 5 times a day.... the best part about college IMO.

Anyways, keep us updated on how your progress goes this semester... I will be doing the same. Planning on blasting to around 280 and then leaning out before spring and summer time. Good luck bro!

I guess now would be a good time for me to post a question. I've got all the stretches down, except for the shoulder stretch.

Does anyone have any tips to get that extreme stretch in the shoulder area?

                Stang,

get a bar that is at shoulder height. I use a smith machine for this... grab it with an overhand grip. Walk out until you are on your heels and sink (squat) down until you feel the stretch. You can also rotate your shoulders forward and down to get a greater stretch...

I was always under the impression it was with an underhand grip but maybe I'm wrong.

I usually do it at about shoulder height with an underhand grip(palms facing up) and my hands at about shoulder width apart. Then I sink right down and it stretches my shoulders out like a mother bitch.

Welcome to the forum. Here's a pic of the bicep stretch, so for shoulders, just turn your palms pointing up.
