    Ok so I am about to go to the gym and try rack chins for the first time. I am pretty sure that I understand it all, but I am jsut not sure of what bench to rest my feet on. Do I use like an incline bench or like the upright one that you do military presses on (cant think of the name lol).

    i use an incline bench set at roughly 45 degrees, so that at the top of the movement my ankles are still higher then my ass.

      I like to use a Decline Bench with the Smythe and I turn the bench around so my the back of my feet are on the pads that hold your feet in place when you are doing Declines, that way the pads roll with my feet as I go up and down. I adjust the bench to its highest point so my feet are always higher than my ass throughout the whole movement...

        Thanks alot thats what I am going to do I will sue the decline. I cant wait to see the way people look at me when I do these lol I hope I dont get kicked out.

          I use a flat bench but I like Inhumans idea there (but our decline is bolted down)

            i like in-human's idea too, wish my gym had an adjustable decline bench so i could try it

                      my gym has this little stool we usually just grab that... works fine for us

                          We use the chair turned around - one you'd use for seated db curls.

                            she didn't want to do them at 1st cause she "couldn't" so I forced the issue, I don't care if you only do 2-3 this time, next time you do 4-5, and so on....well she's doin it!

                              OK next morning. Not as bad as I thought it would be actually I am not really that sore at all. But I can definetly tell i worked back yesterday.
