What are some exercises that really target the quads? I do extensions and front squats but I need some others. I don't want to involve the hams and glutes much, if at all possible. Thanks!!

I agree with nemo-- I believe that the quad to ham strength ratio is 4 to 1. If you have a greater ratio than that (usually higher quad) will leave you a higher possibility for hamstring pulls.
Anyhow in a study by Rosene in the journal of athletic training--> who researched the Quadriceps Ratios in Intercollegiate Athletes- found that the strength of hams are proportionally linear to the strength of quads. basically said weak hams equals weak quads.Comment

Richard, you can do:
SLDL,
standing leg curls,
lying leg curls and
the one on the leg press
(kinda hard to explain but its in CFP I believe)Blade

Since starting DC training consistently I have gained a lot of size to my legs. I am doing the hack squats...4-8 heavy set, then the brutal 20 repper. If that doesn't effectively torcher your quads nothing will. When I am done w/ a DC leg day I walk/hobble out of the gym like a damn cowboy!
