  • Eat every 1 or 2 or 3 hours?

Fellow IM bro's.. For the past two weeks, I have been pretty damn hungry. (blame it on Mary Jane's Medicine) I find myself digging through the fridge almost every hour like clock-work. (good thing is that I am still a student in school because i dont know how i could manage while working at a 8-hour job)

My question is that is muchin' every hour better than every two/three hours? Simply if i eat every hour- would it contribute too much fat gain, or increase the insulin insensitivty, but of course i adhere to the carb-cut off point. :rocker:

IMO, I would opt for 2-3 hours between meals so your body can absorbe the nutrients taken in, complete Gastric Empty, 60-80 grams of protein per meal, for me every hour of protein will be stored as fat...

I can't do it but every 2 or 3 hours, but I know tons of pros eat more often and an example is jay cutler who says he eats every 90 minutes or so.

Correct but we don't carry 275 lb of pure muscle and we don't train twice a day 2 hours at a time.

But I can still wish right?...

Eating every hour--in my humble opinion--is the better way to go. You would keep your insulin up all day at a higher constant level. You would be eating more than you would per day if you only ate every 3 hours. Your body would be a fat burning machine like you were taking insulin injections. I have seen alot of threads of this and that seems to be the science behind it.

You would have a very hard time assimulating solid food very fast taking it in every hour, especially protein, no sense in having 20 grams of protein every hour.

Eating every 2-3 hours and high protein 80-120 grams will turn you into a Human Blast Furnace, trust me, it happens to all of us in the Pound...

Inhuman what about postworkout, whats your views on this, and anyone else.

For example: I down my dextrose/whey shake then 1 hour later I get some cottage cheese down the hatch.

Being post meal, even after an hour or so I would stick with low fat protein and carbs to make sure my Glycogen stores were full and my amino acid pool is full...
