And so we begin another blast. Today was awesome. I was psyching myself up on the walk to the gym, telling myself that I had no choice but to beat everything. I was not going to play by the log books rules.
Went in there after a 2 week cruise and landed all my previous weights. I only dropped reps on reverse cable curls because i didnt give myself enough time after dumbell curls. But no problem. I destroyed everything.
I havent actually done a proper leg workout in 5 weeks. My knee was completely fucked for that time and i decided today was the day. I was gonna suck it up, be a man and get it done. I mean the knee was strong, just a little sore due to lack of blood flow. So i warmed up alot.
When i got to lying leg curls i knew i was gonna be strong. Got 15, 21, 27. I dunno how i got soo many but damn it felt good.
Went over to the leg press. Heres were i was doubting myself. Usually if ive been taking time off legs they lose some strength and i have to build it back up. FUCK THAT. Loaded it up just like i did 5 weeks previous. Sat there with my feet on the leg press platform, psyching myself up. Unrack, LETS GO. Bringing it down slow, 1, 2, 3, 4, feeling strong, keep going, the knees doing good, 5, 6, two more come on, 7, DO IT, 8.
At that point i just thought, Fuck im back. Nothings gonna stop me.
Down to the 20 rep set. Yup got that just like last time. Step off, almost collapse and proceed to stretch.
I feel so good. I weighed myself this morning. I am 15lbs heavier than when i started this style of training and eating. Ive held my weight through the cruise, so i feel i can pack on another good 10-15lbs in this blast. First blast was an experiment, a test of the training and eating. Now that i know what its about i can proceed with a little more knowledge and apply it.
So anyone else beginning a blast this week? or care to share any stories of good workouts.
