  • w.o. length ?

hey all - i am new to this board (been lurking and reading here and just finally regisitered) and have been doing a lot of reading on DC style training.

    my question is this:
how can i fit DC style training into my lunch hour? it is really the only time of day i have to workout.

i am pretty well nonproductive in the mornings. anytime i have training in the AM i have a shitty workout.

i have a 20 mo old at home and will have an infant in another 2 mos. so i have to go home after work and the gym is too far away to get to after my daugther goes to sleep but it is right next to work.

anyhow - can i get it done in ~hour?

    thanks

Should take an hour or less. It takes me an hour just due to warming up, stretching, and the psyching myself up part takes a while.

Usually people can complete a workout in 30-40 mins.

i was getting the impression that it was a bit longer than an hour.

i am usually right around 50 - 65 minutes with whatever i am doing.

Average is about 90 minutes and of course if you train with someone the time can increase and also as your weights increase you will need more warm up sets.

No need to rush it, take your time and keep the form perfect.

Oh and welcome to the board, I would ask you for food, but I am on a diet so I will let this one slide, for now...

In my limited experience with the program, I have found this to be almost exactly true.

If you had to you could do split workouts, so you could do half one day and the other half the next day, then day off then do it again, than maybe on one weekend day you could do a whole workout, give it a try and let us know how it works...

My workouts are usually about an hour. Give it a try, hustle, and see how it goes. If it's too long, try splitting the workouts to 3 days for the whole body instead of two. I know that's not optimal, but it's better than nothing. Some people have to do this anyway because of poor recovery abilitites.

Leave for lunch 15 minutes early and get back late. See easily solved.

Between me and my workout partner, it takes anywhere from 1.5-2 hours.
