  • What bodybuilding book is the best?

    Hi brothers,

I have a couple of bodybuilding books and most of them did not help me enough, the best book I have is Hardcore Bodybuilding by Dr. Hatfield (Dr. Squat). What books do you guys recommend? I would like to have a complex book like something about biochemistry, exercise/muscle physiology or something like that. Also DC, please chime in on this.

    Thanks,
    Blade

Hello! I have not read it myself, but I have heard alot that Beyond Brawn, "The insider`s encyclopedia on how to build Muscle & Might" is an exellent book on weightraining. I know Iron Addict recommends it too. The book is written by Stuart McRobert.

By the way, here is a link:

Those are some good ones from school! My favorite though, well at least the one I use the most is Toxicology by Cassert and Doules 4th edition. Hey, you can basically look up and understand most drug metabolisms using this.....nice!

Nautilus Bulletin 1 and Nautilus Bulletin 2 by Arthur Jones...the old testament of HIT... ...you can get them freely on IART or other sites...

Or...if you really want, you can order Arthur Jones Classic Collection from IART...IMHO, that`s the my most valuable gem on exercise, muscle physiology,etc...limited only for 500 copies, I`m buying that on about 15 December 2003 and be the 87th person who buy that...

Blade we've already talked about this, but don't forget:

                              Guyton's Textbook of Medical Physiology

Bill Llewellyn's Anabolics Books are a nice reference.

The Garrett and Grisham Biochem Book.

Mowrey's Fat Management and Erasmus' Fats the Heal, Fats that Kill are also good.
