    This may have been answered in the past but I have not found anything on it.

    I have been waiting about 20 seconds between each rest/pause but how long do you wait to do your static? I have been racking the weight, taking a couple of deep breathes and going at it. Also how long do you wait before you begin the stretching? I have been going right into it.

      Once I finish my workset I head right over to the stretch and go for it, unless you are doing all three upper body stretches together...

        That is basically what I do. I think that's pretty much what's recommended. Just a few more deep breaths before the static, then some more deep breaths before the stretch.

          you really need the 15 deep breaths. There are a few reasons, but be sure to get your breath back. If you don't you could be not allowing enough recovery time and you might loose a couple reps.

          As for the stretch...I do like my chest/shoulder/tri exercises then stretch after before begining back

                    I work out with a partner so we just flip flop on sets, I do a set he does one then we do our rest pauses alternating, and it works out to be about 30 to 45 seconds between each one which seems to have worked fine for us.

                        When it comes to statics, for the most part I take the 15 deep breathes, but when it comes to the stretches, BANG, right into the serious pain area, no resting allowed. It still doesn't hurt as much as the dreaded calf workout, lol.
