  • DC progress - first time on scale since starting

    Hi guys,

Just wanted to thank you for your help and encouragement. I just got on the scale for the first time in almost 5 weeks.

At 6'2'', I'm up about 11 pounds to an even 235. My arms, which are long and not a strong point (yet), are up almost a full .5 inch to about 17.25 inches.

This was all done 100% clean.

    Thanks, Dante.

My lifts are all up, and I'd say my legs have probably outpaced everything else in terms of progress.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't have some doubts - doubts about this lifestyle choice, doubts about the commitment, doubts about my personal motivation and potential. Quite frankly, the logbook is starting to intimidate me.

I woke up this morning kind of sore and beaten up. Nothing specific, just kind of all over. Felt like the Sunday morning after a football game.

I work out on a Wed/Fri/Sun scheme, so hopefully I'll feel rested up by Wednesday evening.

    Thanks again,

    Clemente

          Congratz on the progress!

I'm making some decent gains myself - but I keep finding excuses not to do the cardio on off days - so I have to watch where my gains are happening!

Good job! I think you should be completely thrilled with those results. 1/2 an inch on your arms in 5 weeks.

So far that 2nd day of rest is much welcomed. It's weird, I can't wait to kill the log book again, but feel a little too beat until after that 2 day rest.

Let's call it 3/8ths of an inch on the arm, lol . . .

                  Thanks for the support.

In terms of cardio, I've been doing it about 3x a week, just a brisk walk on the treadmill or in the neighborhood.

I wonder how Dante would feel about my smoking a cigar while doing it . . .

                    Great job Clemente!

One thing that may hopefully help you guys to do your cardio is to save abs for the days that your supposed to do cardio, then that way you will feel too guilty for skipping it. At least that's what I do!

                    good luck

One thing I was hesitant about when starting DC was only lifting three days a week (Coming from the lifting 5 days a week). After starting I quickly welcomed my days off for much needed recovery, but by the time my next lift day is here I am so pumped to hit the weights and rip it up, crushing the log book with no mercy. Good times.....
