  • Couldn't do quad stretch?

I was trying to stretch my quads after my hack squats but my damn hammies kept cramping up badly! So I layed on the floor and put one leg out and the other leg behind me and leaned back. For some reason I didn't cramp up this way and got a hell of a stretch. I kept leaning back and held it for 60 seconds each leg. I felt this just as much as the regular stretch. Anyone else ever compensate in a situation like this? I tried my damndest to stretch like I always do but couldn't?

TH, I can do those Hurdle stretches to and they do stretch you good, but for me after some grueling Quad work, the Quad stretch is unbearable, I fell on the floor twice last night, 32 seconds then at 60, painful just painful...

I haven't had my hams cramp up like that, but I generally do that stretch and really like it.

i stretch my quads one at a time as well, but a different way. get a incline bench, set the height to maybe belly button high. hold a db in your hand (on the side that is being stretched), hook your foot on the end of the bench and sink down. you can really push into it this way. but as a sidenote i always do the double quad stretch before this one to try and find more ways to make it harder and just because i like stretching.

Note: i'm not an expert, but i'm probably right.

"Then you have an Electrolyte imbalance"

In-H and/or Members: What is your recommendation to take to avoid an electrolyte imbalance? I believe this is something a lot of new subscribers/lifters should be aware of. I myself in the past have had them so bad that I’ve passed out and been brought to the hospital and have an I-V of electrolyte fluid. Today I monitor my diet and am more aware of potassium, and what foods provide it.

Some of the highest foods in potassium are:

                      Milk
                      Advocados
                      Bananas
                      Chick Peas
                      Molasses
                      Nectarines
                      Potatoes
                      Tomatoes

I take in at least 1000 mg of potassium per day in tablet form and I eat friut and veges daily and tons of water with green tea, when I have a taste for salt I put in on everything but that is rare...
