I'd recommend finding an empty corner. Get yourself a barbell of course, and on one end place either a heavy DB or a 25lb plate halfway up *I hope that wasn't confusing*. Now that you have it steady in the corner so that you don't nut yourself, start adding the plates. I'd start with 25lb plates so that you don't decrease your range of motion. Now, find a handle attachment that is similar to the one used on the T-Bar Row. There will in all likelihood be one around the lat pulldown machine. Now simply get some wrist straps and fashion them onto the handle under the barbell and you should be set. I hope that helps, I am not very good at describing these kinds of things.
The key to these is an arched back, and the wrist wraps. I've noticed that when I use the straps, I get a much much better squeeze in my lats. When I don't I get more of an arm pump and my forearms burn much quicker.
Cliche 'Everyone wants to be big, but no one wants to lift heavy weight'.
Thats a good description US and if for some reason you cannot find a corner anywhere that is open you can use the crossmember bar on the floor of a Squat Rack or Cage to place the end of the bar against it with the DB straddeling the colar so it will not come up in the air...

I try to be in the same position as doing a BB Bent Row, I keep my back very straight and of course bend my legs enough to keep my back straight and I look straight ahead, greatest range of motion you can get and go for 12 very heavy brutal reps...
