    dont do the cardio on an empty stomach - have the shake first.

    as far as postworkout nutrition for cardio - the cardio isnt intense at all, so you dont need anything big like a postworkout lifting meal. i just have a shake before the cardio (assuming its done in the morning before breakfast) and then eat some solid protein and carbs afterwards.

    should i consume a protein shake in water before to help with muscle loss or do I do cardio on a completely empty stomach?
