  • What's more motivating then....

It's saturday night and I don't do the bar seen so I was watching tv and Rocky was on. Man I was pumped. I wanted to hit the weights right after. Everytime I watch any Rocky Movie I get pumped. Is there any other movie that gets you pumped more the Rocky.

(This in no way relates to the Sales Man Rocky @MM)

Well that is cool but what about a 28 oz steak, two yams and a huge salad starring at you?...

Can't forget Pumping Iron. Listening to the music I listen to as well gets me pretty damn pumped.

True, but the whole underdog thing and the heart of Rocky

I do get all psyched when I hear the PI tune!

Good one! That always works. Get a new pan and on the way home you are thinking of the things you are going to cook. LOL

For me sometimes when I get a new CD. I can't wait to lift when I get a good song in my head

The Program always gets me pumped.

Battle scenes in movies do it too. Braveheart, Gladiator, etc.

                      Guys,

I've been a Rocky fan as far back as I can remember. My Dad, too. I remember when I was about 7-8 years old and we saw the preview for Rocky III come on TV. We just about flipped out.

In all seriousness, no shitting you, I've seen Rocky III over 100 times. I can, quite literally, with few mistakes, recite the entire dialogue of the movie.

It was very frustrating to have rocky (the guy that got banned here and still plagues MM) use that name as his ID.

The Rocky movies are great motivators. Yes.

But for me, the ultimate motivation to get as enormous as I can is my two daughters.
They are 8 & 5. I know I'm biased, but they really are very beautiful. Sometimes they play with a little bit of make up from those cute little make up kits for girls. Put on dresses and TheLil'Missus does their hair. I think to myself, "my God they are beautiful!"

                        And then I think...

                        ..of..

the little bastards that are going to be coming around in just a few short years to be around them. Those little snot-nosed, pimple faced, hot rod driving, disrespectful demon spawn that are going to want to ruin them.

:chair: :Punch: :2guns: :Punch: :2guns: :Punch: :2guns: :Punch: :2guns: :Punch:

                        AAAAaaahhhhhh!!!!

I gotta go eat and lift now!

TheLil'Missus is out working on her long distance marksmanship. Hopefully she'll be able to get them before they even get to the house. And if she doesn't, they get to meet me. :bat:

Munster I take it you were an angle when you were younger j/k I know what you mean. I fear having a daughter someday for that reason as well.

I guess that would pretty motivating...so on prom night you can answer the door in a tank top and tower over them. :showoff: hahaha

He maybe wasn't an angel in all areas, but he was and is a gentleman when it comes to women. They love him. I've only had to run off a couple. That was back when I was polite beyond all reason. Those days are over. lol :bat:

Seriously, we have many ideas as to ways to keep the wolves at bay. Bring 'em on! It's going to take a younger version of The Munster to make it past us. I welcome that guy.

                              Munster,

I, for one, and most motivated by Ron Burgundy's "gun show."

20 rep set? 100 rep set? Screw that. Burgundy kicks out 1,000 reppers on his lunch break!

Post workout shake? Mixed with Scotch, thank you very much . . .
