  • Jus fell asleep at 3pm....

    Hey guys. Funny I went to bed early last night cause i wanted to be well rested for my session at the gym this morning. I go in, rape the log book. Come out tired as hell. I come home, have my shake, my food and then i jus fell asleep.

    I was really tired, my body was having that feeling of tiredeness all over and i closed my eyes and down i went.

    I know alot of people take naps in the middle of the day. But for me its quite unusual. Should i be expecting something like this more often? I think i just had my mind set on totally destroying the log book and it took all my strength.

    Naps are good but never been my thing. Hope it happens more often.

    How many of you take naps in the middle of the day.

    I always try and fit in a nap, keeps me refreshed! 1/2 hr to 1 hour is the norm for me.

      Bro after I pound my post workout shake I always get really fucking tired. I think it may be partly due to the insulin spike you get from the shake and partly due to exhaustion from working out. I swear sometimes it has been so bad for me that I have almost had to pull over to the side of the road driving home and take a nap!!

        Im right there with you guys, I fall asleep alot in TPC's car on the way to lunch and that 5 minutes is all I need sometimes. Its a combination of TPC's voice and the smell of spilled protein drinks in his car--its like sominex.

          asim, You will find out the longer you are on this program the more sleep you will need, just a way of your body telling you, you need to recouperate...

              And thats coming from a guy who is one of the strongest trainees Ive ever had and also has insane (top 3 easily) recovery ability of anyone Ive trained

                Well all sounds good then. I'll keep sleeping when i have to. Not that i object to it. kinda cool jus falling asleep. But everytime i wake up its to eat.

                  My wife an I train at 5am 3-4 days/wk usually. So I go home at lunch, eat and try to get 20-30 miuntes of shut eye.

                    True...After my last leg workout (Monday afternoon) I went home to take a nap (after downing my protein shake of course)..This was about 5pm.....I didn't wake up until Tuesday morning.....Ooops...

                      LOL, I have had a few 10 and 11 hour nights on this program, and before I did this program I was a 6 hour a night kinda guy...

                        It's funny that this came up because I was wondering the same thing. I used to be able to go on 6 hr sleep and be fine, now 9hrs doesn't seem enough. Hey you grow when you sleep so I don't mind sleeping more

                          If I try to fall asleep in the middle of the day, 90% of the time I just can't. Sometimes I manage to doze off, but that's pretty rare. I used to be a 6 hours sleep kinda guy too, but now I manage to get ATLEAST 8 hours.

                            i have to wake up really early to go to work so i try not to take a nap or else i can't fall asleep at night. Sometimes there's just nothing you can do about it though. like today i came home after my workout and felt kinda tired so i layed down on the couch. next thing i know it's 3 hours later. lol

                              I was just like sitting in my chair and feeling the effects of the workout. Decided to lie down on the floor with my headphones on, listenin to some relaxin music. Just as im about to sleep my brother starts talkin. So i had to go upstairs to lie down. Sometimes i think maybe its really necessary for the body to get all that rest.

                              I hope to do it more often.
