UPS beat the hell out of my TrueProtein!

Though the large box is labelled "Fragile", UPS put a serious hurtin on my TrueProtein order. Freakin thing was just smashed.

And, you know how most UPS guys will at least ring the doorbell when they've left a package at your door (no sig required) so you'll answer it and your package won't be left out there all day? Not this guy. I leave to go to work this afternoon (I work evenings) and there it is on the doorstep, all beat up. Chicken-shit!

Anyway, sorry for the rant. Just felt like sharing.

you should have seen the boxes when we didn't put the fragile stickers on, lol. i freaked out at our pick up guy one time. he is picking up our boxes for the day. and it clearly has red fragile stickers all over it. and the guy is just pitching the boxes in the back of his truck, i just about slapped the guy. i was like "what if that was computer parts, would you still throw them". he said, "it doesn't matter what is in side. that is your job". WTF

we wrap those babies extra tight and double or triple bag everything so regardless you will be alright.

Call and bitch at them you can get some $$ out of them I have done it before. I own a business so we are all the time getting shit delivered and I can't count how many times we have had stuff messed up from them. I actually had a computer monitor that was smashed.

A short story for ya. A buddy of mine worked for UPS unloading the planes. He used to tell me how they would beat the shit out of stuff all the time. You have to remember the guys unloading the planes are only making like 10$$ an hour. He even said sometimes they would just leave shit out on the tarmac in the rain for hours. Fed Ex IMO is much better and they are all I use now.

just tell them that your protein was spilled all over the place and bitch like hell. They will try to get out of it at first but if you bitch enough they will give you some $$ for it.

I ordered 50lbs when TPC was just getting started. I didnt even get a fragile label. The box my protein came in was absolutely beat to hell. But thanks to the heavy duty bags inside I didnt lose a bit.

So I can certainly understand people being a little ticked but as long as the UPS guys dont do the Samsonite luggage test on the boxes you should be cool. Its all about the bags, baby.

we are considering allowing our customers to upgrade from our double walled boxes for steal cages wrapped in kevlar. it will only add 789.00 per order for this option. but we still can't guarantee UPS wont distroy it.

reminds me of the beginning of ACE ventura, when jim carrey is a UPS guy and he is beating the hell out of the box that says fragile all over it, lol.

UPS does not have to receive a signature for a residential delivery unless you ask for it, then the driver will stick a yellow slip on your door, you can sign it and he will leave the package the next day, he has to make 3 delivery attempts...

My UPS Driver rang the door bell to cuss me out as he asked if he could leave it by the bush and I said "NO"..fker was pissed. 50 lbs of protein, and 20 lbs of assorted items.

Exactly....UPS guys make serious bank to throw boxes around all day....I knew a UPS driver who was making $80,000 a year...Not too bad...6 weeks payed vacation too....The only downside is that their trucks have NO air conditioning....so F that....

Average UPS driver here is making 60,000 a year here in So Cal and they hump at least 400 packages with 120 stops a day and can pickup just as many, they work 9.5 hours every day, 5 days a week, and if you don't take vacation they will just give you a check for the time saved.

They are worse than us, they all have bad knees, backs, wrists and fingers...

True..this guy had been working there for 20 years though...He said he'd never quit cos of all the stock option incentives that he'd lose if he did....Poor guy..only another 16 years to go....He'd come into my store in the middle of summer looking like he'd jumped into a swimming pool with his clothes on....Kind of how I look after eating...LOL
