Inspirational Dorian.

I only found this pic a few days ago over on mayhem. Ive always had the other shots in the black and white of dorian which were totally impressive but when i saw this i was just astounded. THIS is the best dorian looked with thickness and conditioning. Ofcourse he has been lighter and tighter. But THIS to me is perfection. To me THIS is what i've always wanted to be. The undeniable huge amount of mass. Yet to me its pleasing. To anyone else, not interested in bodybuilding it would just be another bodybuilder. To me this is art. Everyone has their own eye for what a bodybuilder should look like. I believe these shots prove to me whats its all about. I would gladly let me waist go by an inch or two aslong as every other muscle group didnt lag. The shots taken at this point were incredible and i dont see any lagging part.

Dorian is my bodybuilding hero always has been always will be. This man was not flashy, he did not have a big mouth, he kept to himself and approached bodybuilding like it was a job as true pros should do.

Dorian always believed that his genetics were average. And he trained his ass off to get to where he was. He did what he had to. Came to usa, competed, won and went back to his dungeon.

Dorian was and still is my favorite bodybuilder. I notice you don't see a lot of photo's from his Blood and Guts book. That book had some real hardcore training shots in it. I bought that book back in 94 when I was 15 yrs. old and I have kept it by my side to this day. I never once saw flex magazine put a picture of Dorian in there doing the 1200lb calf raises like the ones in his book. Or the 600lb smith machine squats. Or the 465lb barbell rows. Those were real training photo's. Flex always dressed him in those dork shorts and tights. In his book, no way, he had on real training clothes. Yates is the man.

have any of you seen the blood and guts video. It amazes me how cleanly he lifst and everything is all biz no posturing for the camera as in many of the recent training vids I have seen

ONe thing I noticed about some of Dante's trainees from the pics they've posted: incredibly thick forearms (ie silverback). THis seems to be the case with Dorian as well, totally Popeye style. Common thread? I guess doing heavy pulling excercises (deads, rack deads, etc.) really overloads your forearms ina way that wriist curls never can.
