    HI, I’m Keith

Just wanted to jump in and say hello. I’m new to this board but have been reading if for a while. All though I’m no where near the size most of you are or at the age where growth will natural progress. I seem to have the same mental aptitude toward attaining and desired build, but most importantly staying healthy through natural means. Weight training has been part of my routine for the passed 20 years, following college. I was raised in a rural area and in the times when there wasn’t a gym in every town and when serious weight training was a little on the other side of the average jock. So basically saying I’m a late bloomer in the body building arena. I found this board via a link off MM. I would like to thank DC for his insight and knowledge he so freely posts on the boards. His straight forwardness and no BS post has me checking in here more often then any other site. Having attended my 1st BB show this spring, I found an even more desire to optain more knowledge and put it to use. Having a membership to a gym where the majority speak a different language makes it easy to concentrate on my training, but has is drawbacks as for seeking advice. It is nice to find that within a brotherhood of sorts, if you open yourself up even a language barrier can be broken. The push to jump in here was after seeing the photo’s of Silverback and his latest accomplishment from bulking up and then cutting down. (Great Job SB) It has been my belief that if I wanted to add size that I would have to bulk up first and he has proven this. Current stats: are as follows:
    Age 43
    Height 6’0”
    Weight 196# down from 204
    Body Fat estimate 18%

Weight is down due to a shoulder surgery (Bone Spurs) so I’ve been limited to my training. I took the pro-active approach, electing to have surgery done sooner then later and it paid off, with results of no muscle damage. Chest and shoulder training has resumed using DB and some machines going lighter on the need be side and continuing on the left with regular logged schedule. For my own beliefs and employment requirements, natural is the only possible avenue to travel. Protein supplements are a daily routine and when finished with the current product I’m using, I will be purchasing Trueprotein as it seems to be the choice of most of you. What are your thoughts on Creatine mixes and other supplement that you would suggest for a bulking phase? Thanks.
    Northwatch619

PS- I will not be offended if some of you place me in the OLDER category but, I’m a believer that it’s never too late.

Northwatch619, Welcome to the board, and I am glad someone here is older than me for a change.

Most of us here who train with DC use Creatine post only at 10-15 grams with juice, some of us use Glutamine also, but we mostly use food, for gaining size and lots of it.

Enjoy your stay, old man, lol...

      In-Human,
Thanks for the reply. May I ask what brand of creatine you recommend? As for Glutamine, I forgot to mention that I am including it as part of my supplements. Having read of it benefits.

“The old Man” lol Ok by me.

Hey IH....I was curious. For women would you suggest going lower than the 10-15 grams for creatine? I'm currently taking 5 g. pre and 5 g. post.
