  • Progressing Non rest paused exercises

    Small question regarding some of the exercises we don't rest pause.

    For example, last time on squats was
    225*8, 275*4, 135*20

    So the next time should be
    235*8, 285*4, 145*20?

    From my understanding you choose either an 8-12 then 4-8 rep combo OR 4-8 then 20 rep combo. Not three sets done to failure.

      Chasedog, Yes I like to move up in weights instead of reps, but some times you will need to move up in reps if you fell unsure about that last workout with this exercise.

      Remember you can go 8-12, 4-8 reps on Squats, its nice to add weight, but stay safe...

        Pharmacist, You are correct for some, but if you are a hard gainer in Quads you can do all three...

          I like the idea of a 4-8 then a 20. Cause you've got the benefit of high and low reps. But i like to stay on the high end of the 4-8 reps. Preferably getting 7 or 8.
