  • creatine usage with dc training

Hey, I've been training for 8 months or so, and up till now haven't been using creatine.

I feel that as I'm going to rack the intensity to the max now with dc training, that I will benefit from starting to supplement with it.

If I'm blasting for 4 weeks and cruising for 2, (and bearing in mind I will want to cycle it), does it seem right to do 4 week cycles with 2 week breaks rather than the 2 month on 1 off that seems to be the norm?

Also, should I bother loading on that basis, should I just take it after workouts to avoid appetite loss? (Just plain creatine monohydrate).

    Thanks
    Alex

Creatine use with DC is strictly post workout. Put 10 grams in with your post workout shake. There is no loading phase and you do not take it any other time except after you workout on your workout days. You go off of it when your on your cruise since yo wont really be needing it and it will let all the extra water retention flood out of your body.

monkeyd, Remember you need to know and listen to your body, blast and cruise times are not in stone, only you will know when your body needs a cruise, listen to it very carefully...

Thanks, I will heed your advice In-Human, believe me.

I overtrained on a high volume routine really badly when I first started lifting and it was not pretty. I turned into a complete asshole for about a month People finally forgave me though.

10g, in the pwo shake only after the blast workouts. (If I weigh 78kg / 171lb, is that the right amount, because I read in cfp dc say 7.5-10g, so does it depend on your bodyweight?)

monkeyd, I think that is one of the most overlooked things when it somes right down to what is best for your body and training, it is a trail and error on every routine and diet to see what works and what doesn't.

I think I spent at least 10 years when I first started training to try and feel myself out and feel how each muscle is working when I do an exercise.

I read everything I could get my hands on when it came to Human Anantomy, Kinesiology and Boimechanics, but when it came down to putting that knowledge to work in the gym it was a whole different story.

In all the years of lifting I still learn new things in the gym everyday on how my body adapts to certain things...

never a truer word was spoken.

Besides learning about one's body is half the fun! It's a nice feeling to be constantly improving and feeling more and more in control.

I'm confused about the Creatine use.

Should I not do the loading phase for 2 weeks?

              Only take it after workouts?

How long do I take it?

What is the Cycling, Blast and Cruise? Does that have anything to do with Creatine?

Also, what is the best kind to take? I'm a Type 2 diabetic so I can't have it mixed with a high glycemic like grape juice.

Thanks For the reply MsteveM. I did read that, I'm just looking for some more information, I don't know what cruise or many of these other terms mean and if they're in relation to taking Creatine or something else.

Also, No Offense to Electric, but I haven't been on this board long enough to know who's who, and I don't know enough myself to know if I'm getting info from someone who does know or from a 15 year old kid who thinks he does.

No offence taken I only post things regarding the program that I have either read on CFP or DC, INHUMAN, and Raul have said it previously.
I might not be an old fart lol but I do have worthwhile knowledge that people can benefit from (Im 18 by the way lol).

I agree on the age thing, but age does make you more skeptical, I've learned a lot on this board so far and I'm sure nearly everything is from people much younger than myself. I'm just treading very cautiously on any supplements I take, I've read lots of info and it's very confusing and usually contradictory. I feel that if I'm going to put the effort into DC, then I want to do it by the book as close as I can.
