  • Motivation / Help with DC Diet

    The training is going well folks but I'm having an assload of trouble getting the meals down. I'm just barely getting the six and I'm stuffing my face each meal.

    This question is for those who are following the DC diet but are in Europe. I am currently in Germany and need help with some cheap food sources as I want to eat as much protein as possible without breaking the bank (food is more expensive here in Germany than it is at home in the US). So, those of you in Europe (and particularly Germany), what are some cheap food sources that I should be taking advantage of in order to get my required protein amounts for the day?

      I haven't seen any live ones--

      Ground beef over here is about 4 dollars a pound.

        Add olive oil (even tho we dont actually count calories) to reach desired calorific intake, which means being less full/being able to stuff more down the hatch

        Maybe its the economy, but lean mince, and chicken and tuna would be the cheapest sources

            Sean we're here for ya buddy, listen just keep eating and very, very soon, you won't be able to wait to eat. Hunger is gonna take you over! I'm stopping myself sometimes from eating too much. Believe me when I tell you that it will get better (in a sense, lol)!!

            I would say look for coupons over the internet of food shops, grocery stores, etc. Good luck!!

              SeanC1123, Like JP said, it is tough at first, but give it time, you will love to eat, and when the time comes to cut out one meal per day on the cruise, you will be starving, trust us, it will get better, just eat like clockwork...

                You will get more used to the diet within a few weeks. Have you gotten your green tea? That will help raise your metabolism, therefore making you hungrier in the long run. As for very cheap protein sources, I probably eat cheaper than anyone else here. Almost my entire diet consists of tuna, whole eggs, chicken leg quarters, ground beef, oatmeal, pasta, brown rice. Those are probably very cheap over there as well. That, combined with your inexpensive protein shakes *TRUE PROTEIN.COM*, is eating DC style on a budget...if there is such a thing.

                    Thanks man! I am loving this shit sooo much. The one thing I can't do though is stay off the scale, damnit! I need to change my sig though, I am ten pounds heavier than that now according to the scale last night. Sorry had to brag a little

                      nice job man.. stay off that scale! put it somewhere where you wont see it often. but if you're going to use it anyway, i have an idea - dont go to the bathroom for awhile then stuff yourself and down a few shakes - then go weigh yourself. you'll be like 240!! you got to brag so now i'm going to rant...

                      ::start rant:: i'm going nuts - i have to run every other freaking day and do calisthenic crap because i have to go for some training w/ the marines for 6 weeks.. that blows b/c i want to blast and get stronger and leaner and massive-like. oh well.. i'll just think of it as a really long cruise :P i was doing pretty good too. ::end rant::

                        I don't have a SINGLE pic up. I haven't even take a picture in years. I wouldn't put up any bulking pics of me anyways I'm like In-Human, no pics until contest time. I have pics of every damn ex girlfriend and my current girlfriend, but none of me. Weird.

                              Haha no biggie. I'm a student here but yes there is a PX where I am and it's not very far. I haven't been there yet--can I get cheap food there?

                              PS Should I be cutting my carbs after six? If I cut my carbs after six does that mean I can't eat the olive oil after six as well? And lastly, how much green tea a day should I be drinking?
