  • Thoughts on trueprotein's milk isolate?

I am thinking of placing an order and was leaning towards a 65%/35% split between ion exchange whey isolate and milk protein isolate.

I have used proteinfactory's milk isolate and while couldn't tell one way or another whether it was a superior product, the quality/value ratio of trueprotein's milk isolate seems pretty good.

Any thoughts from guys who may have tried it?

    I have a blend of Milk Protein Isolate / Micellar / Calcium Caseinate (33% / 33%/ 34%) and it's really good.

Why do you want to mix whey and milk isolate?

      BBC,

Good question. I was trying to find a blend that was fast acting, but also had a bit of a "lag" to keep my body absorbing the protein for 90 minutes so.

Is this the wrong way to think about it?

I'm no expert and could use your advice.

My nighttime blend is 50% Micellar,25% Hydro Casein,25% CFM Whey...It's an expensive mix but I only take it at nighttime so I don't really care.

besides our hydrolyzed whey high grade and hydrolyzed casein. MPI, is next on the list of not the greatest tasting proteins. personally i would not go over 20-30% MPI, just for taste measures. it is not a terrible taste, but dante (mr. tastebud sensitive) says he has some problems with it. granted he is lite in the loafers, but some people may have troubles at high concentrations with it.

as for its quality, we tried a group of samples of MPI's, a year back and the MPI we offer, is by far the highest quality/nutrient dence (and most expensive) MPI, but as for taste, not the best out of the batch. we could have gone with best taste, but you our customers would not be happy down the road, when you have sub par results.

if i were you i would keep the percentage of MPI down in the mix, and add in micellar and/or calcium caseinate which will serve the same purpose, if you are sensitive in the tastebud department.

p.s. dante cries sometimes, when he is unhappy with the taste of his shakes and food. talk about embarrasment, having to explain to the waitress why this 300lb monster is crying.
we are changing his name to sally, lol.

            thanks,

i'm with you dragula, i don't think it is that bad either, but sally certainly has some problems with it. but then again sally is always telling me how finding nemo is his favorite movie and he cries everytime when the small cross eyed fish gets lost, WTF.
