  • Help with exercise form

hey bros i can never really seem to get my biceps and triceps to come out, as stated on the previous thread, could it have to do with my form? I heard to turn your wrist slightly back when doing bicep curls to isolate the muslce belly, and my lateral delts are lagging like crazy

        Hope this helps:

Kane::Hey DC, How would you address a lagging body part?

Doggcrapp::kind of depends on the bodypart and what we are talking about--such as if its quads you already know my recommendations on that but if its a bodypart your dont feel is responding normally---I would really look at the exercises done. Say its biceps or triceps, I would scrap what your doing now and try to really decipher what exercises will work the best that you can rest pause the crap out of and get incredibly strong at. For example:You can rest pause tricep kickbacks with a dumbell all day long, but theres no way in hell thats going to build the muscle mass that a close grip bench press does. Alot of people get into heavy barbell curls, yet quite a few get nothing out of it because it becomes a reverse grip front delt high pull. Thats when you have to make the decision to get over to preacher benches and machine curls.

I understand what your saying, however im trying to adress FORM in a way to make the most contraction out of the muscle as possible for biceps i use any of these: barbell curls, incline dumbell curls, cable curls, preacher curls
and tris: skullcrushers, dips, cable pressdowns

i will start reverse grip benching and close grip benching on the smith machine tho

alrighty rick,, if i remeber correctly you've been working out for 1 year 1/2 ? your body is still developing so its just a matter of time,,when i do any type of curl movement i roll my shoulders back and drop them down and push out your chest,, kinda hard to explain but try it ,, i have real strong delts and i noticed that they took a lot of the work away from my bi's so this has worked for me,, i really dont use a wide grip just about shoulder width ,,,,

Bump for DC, but in the meantime also when doing bicep exercises try keeping the elbows close to your sides and in one spot. Yes, bring the little finger up more as well. We have to put on bodyweight in order to get bodyparts larger as well.

Like I said, bump for DC.
