  • How can I ever go heavy on deadlifts if I'm obligated to do 12-15 reps?

I mean I'm not the king of deadlifts anyway.
With normal training I could do 400-440 lbs max.
Now I'm stuck with pussy weights because I have to make such a long set.

    Is that a problem?

        Its not my ego!
Its just that I always thought that deadlifts worked better if done very heavy.
And as it feels now I can't with so many reps.
No no its not my ego man I'm no fucking teenie!

Like In-human said with DC style of workout you have to check your ego at the door. Because the program does not care what your max is on certain exercise. It is meant to work you to the extreme, and allowing you to grow as much as possible. to stroke your ego a little just think that some people can't even do your pussy weight for 6-8. so just focus and become a freak.

hompie, Ok, so you are teling me that doing a few reps or 1rm with 440, you will build more mass then doing say 340 for 15 reps?...

The term "heavy" is relative. Forget about "max" poundages. Do not max any more. Concentrate on squeezing out the reps. You will be up to your "max" weight, but repping in just a matter of time. Max lifts are irrelevant in bodybuilding.

12-15 reps is alot. I am lucky I only have to do 6-8 then a set of 4 so I can go heavy on that one.

Hompie who the hell told you to do 12-15 reps? I have most people do a brutal set of 8 and then a pyschotic set of 4. Where did you get 12-15 reps on a deadlift? Whoever told you that is giving you their recommendations--thats not mine

Quoted from Random thoughts from CFP:

1369phil::And finally, what rep range and cadence do people use for deadlifts and rack deadlifts ?

Doggcrapp:: Usually one or two sets with one in the 8 rep range and then one heavier in the 4 rep range if its using my methods. Cadence is determined by form, the exercise and control. We always try to control descent whether thats one second or 5 seconds but thats not really feasible to think about on some exercises like deadlifts.
ain't it the shit? Just wait til you guys/gals see some of the strength jumps lol..and the size you put on!
                    Good luck

NO R/P FOR BACK THICKNESS, STRAIGHT SET OF 12-15 REPS
This is what In-Human wrote in my logbook when I send him my workout plan.
Maybe he made a mistake but thats why I'm doing it this way.
I had written down 1x8 and 1x4 but he corrected it.
I'm sorry In -Human maybe it was a misunderstanding I even emailed you about it remember?
No flames intended here bro appreciate all the help

hompie, Sorry man, I must have been an assfuck that day, most of the Back Thickness exercises are 12-15, Deads we do 8 then 4, see I know nothing, sorry again man, didn't mean to steer you wrong there.

I can't do Deads from the floor due to my bad lower back, So DC and I decided I would do Rack Deads heavy set for 12-15.

                        Sorry again bout the misunderstanding...

In- Human must of been thinking about where he was going to find a side of beef for his next meal.

Inhuman we realize that you love your protein, but ya have to have some carbs, slap the road kill in a sandwich or something.

I was going to mention how guys like Inhuman, MassiveG and the like, have the ability to change certain aspects that work for them, which may differ slightly from the norm. Did I say norm, lol.
