Well as many of you may I know i was very anxious to begin my blast today and was exited about getting started with this training. Well all that changed when I got to the gym.
Here the list of shitty things that happened at the gym today:
1)All the lockers were full so I had to carry my jacket, and bag all around the damn gym.
2)I couldnt get any Rest Pause sets in even after waiting 30 seconds after the initial straight set. I guess I just really know how to tax my muscles because after my 8 reps to failure on the bench and 30 secs of rest I couldnt even move the bar more than an inch. I only got 1 extra rep on one of my military press r/p's and 2 reps on one of my close grip bench r/p's.
3) All the weights I used suffered greatly after the chest and shoulder r/p sets. My military press went down 17.5 lbs since I did chest before it and my close grip bench press went 20 lbs down! Also last week I did 190 on the pulldowns for 8 reps and if I hadnt done all the other work I shoulve been able to up the weight to 200 BUT NO! I had to lower it to 180 because I was exhausted as shit and only got 3 reps despite how hard I tried and trust me I train balls to the walls(hence the name) I know what pain is, I used to giant set 3 compund exercises for quads to failure before in the 20-30 rep range each(not that it helped though) so believe me when I say I didnt chicken out.
4)By the time I got to back thickness I was fuckin WORN OUT! I was seeing stars but I said fuck it im finishing this work out and despite resting 5-6 minutes in between exercises they all sucked especially my deadlift which went down 40 MOTHER FUCKING POUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!40 POUNDS!!!! I FEEL WEAK FUCK THAT!!
5) Also I couldnt do the chest stretch because no matter how high the bench was, and how far I spread my arms,they always ended up touching the ground and I felt a pretty good stretch but no where near the stretch people here were feeling. Besides where's the room for progression when I can already touch the ground on a high bench, after being pumped like hell?
Overall it sucked ass and the workout ruined my day cuz now my weak ass feels even weaker than before...I dont know whether im ranting, or asking for help all I know is im startin to consider going back to HIT despite all the rave about DC...w/e thx guys for all the support and help and im still open to some suggestions about the routine but im not feeling really confident about it right now ill give it until friday(If i can survive wednesday that is) to make a judgement...damn...well peace.
