Here is Charles, the hardest trainee Ive ever had--Im not kidding LOL. Started with me at 219-220lbs I believe, back in september of last year 2003. His calves and his legs are freaky large and his best bodyparts (people think his calves are implants) but he and I have had to push hard to catch his upper body up. Ive had to tweak and change and manipulate his regimen repeatedly to keep him gaining but we are finally getting to where we want now. He was adamant about staying very lean all the way up to 250lbs so this one was hard as hell (kind of like pushing on the accelerator and brake at the same time-LOL!)--He is now at (drumroll) 250lbs and he is kind of happy with that...but we shall see if he wants to take it up to 275lbs...Great job Charles

Good work both DC and Charles. I am always impressed but never shocked, DC. Remember, everytime you do this with someone, everyone's expectations climb. Isn't it a bitch? lol

Ok remember one thing though guys...this was one of the hardest to train trainees Ive had. To stay incredibly lean while trying to get much larger is so damn hard to do because you have a fine line and if you fall below that line you gain no muscle mass at all and if you go above that line you do, if you go too far about that line you gain muscle mass incredibly fast but might smooth out....because of various factors involved with this I had to have a handbrake on at all times with Charles. If I could go all out with him and blast it I think Charles would be at 280lbs right now and very close to the same leaness. High blood pressure runs in Charles family so we had to experiment with different foods and supplement combinations because as he got larger it started to creep up and we always had to keep that in mind. At one point we had to back off and he had to take in an abundance of fish (I had him on garlic, flax, and other supps for the BP control) and we had to give up some red meat intake (that you guys know im high on)---I much rather prefer a full out throttle with someone and let cardio on off training days and carb cuttoffs to keep them lean while i have them eat up into a new gigantic bodybuilder.
